Project Summary
Metronome IM (abbreviated Metronome) is a xmpp server written in Lua, based on Prosody and originally a Prosody fork and adaptation to suit LW.Org IM needs.
It was ground to develope and prototype mainly:
- improvents to social networking features and protocols: Multi User Chat (XEP-45), PubSub (XEP-60), PEP (XEP-163), Microblogging over XMPP (XEP-277).
- secure account registration methods.
- spam preventing measures, Incidents Handling (XEP-268)
- improvements to xmpp federation interop.
- improvements to the anonymous authentication backend.
