I never like to categorize music, because it's just it - music! Everyone has a different taste, and what's for someone post rock for me is just rock or even something more peculiar ;) We should have a different category for each band, because they ... [More] all have a different sound (I mean proper bands, not the ones you see usually on the telly). But let's get to the essence of this foolish blog post - this weeks artist is Gina Artworth. It's a nice mix of a wonderful vocal (I think I fell in love... ;> and noisy guitars. Just mmmmmmmm (yeah, I know - it's an intelligent sentence). Sadly it's already some years old (2003) and GOOG doesn't tell much about what is going on with her lately. Maybe you know? Anyway - go on and listen if you haven't already done so. [Less]

Sorry, this week's album had to fall out due to me being away from a network connection :/ I promise I'll make up for this with some great music next week!

Polis is down for a somewhat extended count, as it's doing an intensive check on a huge disk. It's going to take about ten hours.

Create partition on your flash drive (using fdisk or cfdisk). Mark one of partitions bootable in fdisk/cdisk. Format that partition with FAT/FAT32 filesystem: mkfs.vfat -F 32 /dev/sdXY where sdXY is your partition. Mount it and copy contents of PLD ... [More] RescueCD like x86 and x86_64 ISO image to that partition, to /rcd subdirectory. Make MBR record: ms-sys -s /dev/sdX (where sdX is entire flash disk; ms-sys comes from ms-sys package) Copy syslinux configuration for USB to root directory of your flash drive as syslinux.cfg. DOS/Windows image should be placed in /rcd/boot/dos.gz (compress it with gzip first). Run: syslinux -s /dev/sdXY to load syslinux onto your flash drive. Reboot your system and check if it boots correctly Note that some systems have problems with booting from flash driver (especially big like 1G or 2G flash drives). [Less]
